Building a gingerbread house as JB learns how to do a stop-action video.  After this he moved onto stop-action videos with Legos...

I wonder if anyone would notice if I took one little candy off...

Benaiah and our newly finished gingerbread house...

We entered it into a Christmas Party contest for the best gingerbread house.  We won by default...were the only one that made one and brought it...

Boutique or Designer burp cloths / tag-along blanket

Blue and Green Flowers burp cloth / tag-along
Hot Pink Paisley burp cloth / tag-along

I made both of these to match nursing wraps that I made, but they did not sell with the nursing wraps on ebay. I still have both of these materials (hot pink paisley and green and blue flower) to make other hooter hiders that match. This would be a great gift combo for any new (or experienced) mom:).

It's a lot of fun to make these because I can be creative with fabric and ribbons. My "tag blanket" listing was taken off of ebay because of violation of of Taggies Inc patent. I don't make tag blankets to sell on ebay anymore, but will continue to make them as gifts or requests by friends and family.

I still have tons of ribbon and material left to make tag blankets, so I decided to make a burp cloth with a tag fringe that has three layers - the green and blue flower one has two layers of cotton cloth diaper material for absorbency and one layer of 100% cotton, high-quality print material. I quilted these layers together and added decorative ribbon. The pink paisley one also has three layers, but only the middle layer is the cotton cloth diaper. The other two layers: a pieced together top layer - 100% cotton, high quality pink paisley checkered with a hot pink satiny material, and the bottom layer, a light pink flannel with decorative ribbon at each. All layers are quilted together.

You may think this is rather fancy for a burp cloth, but today's young mom is fun and fashionable. Also, the burp cloth can match a hooter hider and can double as a "tag-along" blankey or an interesting thing for baby to play with and featuring different textured ribbons (or "tags"). A very versatile accessory:).

Storefront

The Storefront on the right is not in operation yet, so please don't try to order through that. Either leave a comment on the post (at the bottom of the post), e-mail, or call:).

Notes on Fabric Options - listed below

All of the new fabric I posted I got at a quilt shop in Colby, KS as "Gramma Shell" and I were driving from Colorado to Derby, KS with the kids. This is almost exactly half way (the whole trip takes about 9 hours). This fabric was not cheap, but was irresistible for making nursing wraps. The new fabric is also very soft, high quality cotton.

I took the pictures with a regular-size diaper pin (are these used anymore?) that had a white head to show the scale (or size) of the pattern. I had the diaper pin leftover from when my hubby and I thought we were going to use cloth diapers on our first son, who is now 5 years old. Disposable won out though, just too convenient! Other pictures show a penny to show scale. I decided that a diaper pin was pretty universal and cuter (and probably cleaner) than a penny.

I only have one yard of each of these (which makes one nursing wrap), except for the hot pink paisley, of which I have two yards. Most people who see this site at this point are friends, family, or people I have referred to this page to see my choice of fabric...so hello!, God bless!, and happy choosing!
